Jeff Plate has been practicing law since 2015. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his juris doctor degree from the Rutgers School of Law - Newark and completed an international law program at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.

With a background in business, Jeff specializes in contract, corporate, real estate, and transactional law. He founded the Asbury Park Brewery in 2016 and has been a touring musician and recording artist. He was a trustee on the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce (2017-2020) and contestant on the game show Jeopardy! in April 2024.
